Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) – Hollywood’s Fav Vampire Lift

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is produced from a person’s own blood. It is a concentration of one type of cell, known as platelets, which circulate through the blood and are critical for blood clotting. Platelets and the liquid plasma portion of the blood contain many factors that are essential for healing and rejuvenation.

After a blood sample is obtained from a patient, the blood is put into a centrifuge, which is a tool that separates the blood into its many components. Platelet rich plasma can then be collected and treated before it is delivered to the area which needs rejuvenation.

PRP is used for cosmetic uses and also for the treatment of injured joints and muscles.

By injecting the plasma highly concentrated with platelets, high concentrations of growth factors will be injected into the skin causing activation of cell growth and thus stimulating collagen growth. With increased collagen content, our skin will then be rejuvenated and skin elasticity will improve greatly!

What is PRP used for?

PRP is used for various reasons and over at The Retreat Clinic, our signature Vampire Lift is performed to rejuvenate our patients’ skin back to its youthful glory.
